The Morning After: A different 'House of Cards'

It's part ride service, part mass transportation and fully crazy. Renault's EZ-GO electric car is ridesharing for the masses

The Geneva Motor Show starts today and kicks off with a mass of crazy concepts and high-end vehicles not meant for the suburbs or the cities. At least, not this decade. Renault's driverless concept electric car, the EZ-GO, is a Level 4 autonomous urban EV with a top speed of just 30MPH. Six passengers enter through the massive front door and can see everything (and be seen) thanks to huge swathes of glass on the sides and roof. We took an early tour.

Yucatan is the neo-Mexican space punk racer you've been waiting for

It's really been far too long since we last saw a neo-Mexican space punk racing game, hasn't it? I've certainly been waiting a fair while for one, which makes the arrival of Yucatan's demo earlier this month such a pleasant surprise; this ticks all the right boxes. The work of developer Joe Bain - with a little help from his friends - Yucatan plays like a tequilla-soaked Trackmania (and there's probably a fair dose of peyote included in that cocktail, too), a psychedelic racer that pits your gloriously proportioned ride against a series of impossibly cruel tracks. Dig down into the detail and there's a lot to like. The drifting feels fantastic, a dedicated button enabling long, lurid slides in which your softly sprung car looks like it's about to dance out of control, but which in the hand feels brilliantly pliable. Rare Studio Head on Sea of Thieves Post-Launch Plans

Rare has high hopes for Sea of Thieves, and according to studio head Craig Duncan, the development team intends to continue to support the game post-launch to make it "as big and successful as it can be." On the latest episode of our monthly interview show  IGN Unfiltered , Duncan said the studio "of course" has a roadmap and plan for the future of Sea of Thieves. "There's more stuff we want to add to Sea of Thieves," Duncan said, noting the team "definitely want to be reactive" to fixing any balancing issues and bugs that might arise. "Every single person I've talked to that launched a service-based game tells me, 'Hey, you think you know what you've gotta do—actually when you launch there'll be a load of different stuff,'" he explained, noting he's well aware there will probably be plenty of stuff the team wasn't aware of prior to release that they'll need to address after launch.
